Networking And Association


R. K. Devi Eye Research Institute through its various eye care activities constantly strive to REACH THE UNREACHED. This can only be achieved through good networking at grass root level and effective community participation from all walks of society. Some the outreach projects undertaken through our network and associates are:

  • Public Private Partnership Project : Aim Of the Project was to create Blindness Free Zones through Public Private Partnership of working. Partners in projects were -

    R.K. Devi Eye Research Institute
    • To provide training to students of GHSIMR
    • To provide technical expertise for conducting refractive error screening
    • To conduct surgeries for patients screened for cataract.
    GHS-IMR
    A MAT affiliated institute for management and research studies.
    • Provided 60 students for conducting vision screening at the doorsteps of people in remote rural areas.
    • To counsel and motivate people for eye screening by the technical team.
    • To generate and document data of the patients being screened.
    Comprehensive quality eye care was provided to a target population of 5000, Baghpur was chosen which had a population of 3000 with 1 inter school and 2 primary schools.


  • Step HBTI :- R.K Devi Eye Research Institute collaborated with management Institute Step-HBTI. Under this project management students conducted awareness and eye screening campaign in village Kakupur. Students were instrumental in creating awareness about the camp and ensured more patients were benefitted from the camp.


  • Shramik Bharti :- NGO working at the grass root level for over three decades had been instrumental in organization of various eye camps in association with R.K Devi Eye Research Institute.


  • Hriday Narayan Charitable Trust :- Run by Ms. Anu Tandon an eminent member of parliament from Unnao. H.N trust in collaboration with R.K Devi Eye research Institute organized eye screening camps in remote districts of Unnao. Our technical team conducted OPD to screen cataract patients, who were operated at the base hospital. Unique aspect of these camp was phacoemulsification surgery were done for some patients in each camp. Approximately 300 to 350 patients benefit each year.


  • Ramleela Society :- A very old and prestigious not for profit charitable organisation has been associated with the institute since 1995. Every year nearly 150 patients are operated. An OPD of nearly 800 patients is conducted at each screening camp.


  • Agarwal Maha Sabha :- They have been involved with R.K Devi Eye Research Institute in conducting surgical camps every year for nearly 100 patients.


  • Smt. Meera Rani Samajik Utthan Sansthan :- An NGO which is dedicated to school health screening for nearly 5 years. NGO collaborated with R.K Devi Eye Research Institute to provide eye screening of the school children. Approximately 10000 students were screened in different schools. Students with poor vision of 6/36 and 6/60 and any other eye related problem were identified , list was provided to the school principal and a letter was sent to parents for further action.


  • Susheela Devi Netra Chikitsalaya :- R.K Devi Eye institute provides technical expertise and manages day to day operations of this eye Hospital in Bithoor which was established by Late Shri O.P Dwivedi in memory of his mother.
